For those of you who were listening to CBC radio in Nova Scotia Thursday morning, you would have heard Innovacorp's CEO Dan MacDonald speaking about the I-3 Technology Start-Up Competition
To borrow from the website, the purpose of the competition is:
...to foster and support the entrepreneurial spirit in the business community across Nova Scotia and to encourage the formation of new technology start-up companies. InNOVAcorp is looking for early stage companies with highly commercializable technology.
What makes the I-3 Technology Start-Up Competition unique is its mission to create new technology companies in Nova Scotia. Unlike other competitions that focus on writing the best business plan, I-3 focuses on discovering the best business start-ups. We want to help you get your Nova Scotia-based business off the ground. The winner of the I-3 competition will be the entrant whose technology has the most commercialization potential and business viability.
So, for those start up companies (see FAQ for definition of a start up for the purposes of this competition), get your entries in!
